Assistant Superintendent

It is with great pleasure that I join the Sudbury Public Schools as your Interim Assistant Superintendent for the 2026-2027 school year.

A lifelong educator, I began my career as a high school English and Latin teacher, followed by serving as a department chair, assistant principal, K-12 curriculum director, assistant superintendent, and, finally, superintendent. Each of these roles has shaped my understanding of what it takes to build strong schools and what students need to thrive.

Having formally retired in June of 2025, I am so excited to return to public education here in Sudbury. Over the summer, I've had the privilege of getting to know and working alongside the super smart and dedicated admin team.  And now that the teachers are back I'm looking forward to getting to know the faculty and staff and getting into the schools and classrooms! 

In keeping with my passion for all the things that inform student learning, I've spent my first months here digging into student data – both quantitative and qualitative – that will hopefully inform in various ways the work of our district. I believe there is no more impactful institution than public education; it is where we have the opportunity to shape not only the lives of individual students, but also the future of our communities. Sudbury’s mantra of “all means all” is one I embrace unwaveringly.

While assistant superintendents are responsible for so many important tasks – strategic planning, grant writing, curriculum development and review, instructional materials…you get the idea – I will also keep focused on those who reside at the center of our work: the children. Every decision we make, every initiative we undertake, and every resource we commit should result in every child’s opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed.  All really can mean all.
