October 1, 2020 // Superintendent's Update
Dear SPS Families,
Today is the twelfth day of school. Routines are being set and supportive relationships built. Educators are assessing where students are academically and introducing new content and skills. Together educators, students, and families are innovating, problem-solving, and forging partnerships.
In order to help us understand what is working and where the challenges lie, I am asking all families to complete a feedback survey. Iterations of survey will be used throughout the year to help the district navigate this new educational environment. Please complete the survey once for each child you have in the district in order to capture their unique experience. The survey will close on October 13th. The results of the survey will be included on the district’s “Reopening” webpage and will be shared at an upcoming School Committee meeting. The survey can be accessed with this LINK and on the district website.
Families are also welcome to attend an informal discussion with me about the issues facing the Sudbury Public Schools that matter the most to you most. As with most meetings nowadays, tomorrow’s Parent Information Exchange (PIE) will be virtual. To join me follow this link.
Also, coming up is SPS’s first virtual Back-to-School night. On Thursday, October 8th in the evening, each school shares links to a principal’s welcome, classroom introductions, and curriculum updates from the Teaching & Learning team. The links will remain active through October 13th.
Finally, I wanted to let you know that the district’s COVID-19 protocols have been updated to reflect the latest guidance from DESE and the Department of Health. The protocols are posted on the website and can also be accessed by clicking here.
Wishing you well,
Brad Crozier
