February 23, 2020 // Important Haynes Traffic Reminders

Dear Haynes Families,

As we return to school Monday, please note the following for all those who park at Haynes School or who make use of our live drop-off and pick-up lines.  These reminders are shared to continue to assure the safety of all our students, their families and our staff.

--- MASSACHUSETTS HANDS-FREE DRIVING IS NOW THE LAW
Use of handheld devices while driving is prohibited. This includes any public passageways, such as the Haynes parking lot and pickup line.  Drivers are reminded to focus their full attention on the safe arrival and dismissal of everyone in the Haynes community.

--- PASSING IS PROHIBITED
The Haynes live carline is a SINGLE LANE.  Cars are NOT allowed to pass other cars.  Exceptions to this include when a car is in the first spots, parked with flashers on, or when a staff member waves a car forward.

--- PULL ALL THE WAY UP
Drivers are reminded to pull all the way to the front of the car line (near the "red shed"). This allows the most cars to enter/exit at once, maximizing the efficiency of our carline.

You can find more information on our arrival/dismissal procedures on our website.  Thank you for your continued partnership in assuring a safe start and end to our school day!

Sincerely,

Jeff LaBroad
