FY 13 Modified Roll-Up Budget Presentation to FinCom 2 09 12
The attached slides present the final non-override budget that was approved by the School Committee and will be presented at Town Meeting on Monday, May 2 at 7:30 PM at the L-S auditorium. Please note that SPS is not seeking an override and this budget provides a class sizes supported by the same number of classroom teachers as we have this year (including the 2 FTE made possible this year by federal stimulus funds.), We are also able to restoring the middle school house administrator position and a few other critical needs. Please contact us with question. We also urge residents to attend town meeting to participate in the discussion and decision on this budget.
Each year we gather and analyze data on several key operational factors from comparable districts. This Benchmark Data compares SPS with districts that are comparable in organizational structure, size, financial status or academic performance. The 2011 version of the report is attached.
