Summer is Coming Up Quickly
This Means That Registration is Now Open for Summer Baseball!
Sudbury Little League offers two great options for players this summer:
Bay State Tournament of Champions
and
The Jimmy Fund League
Both are inter-town leagues. Bay State Tournament of Champions is a highly competitive league which requires a significant commitment from players and their families. To be eligible for Bay State, players must be Little League age 9-12 (their age on April 30, 2013). The Jimmy Fund League is a less intense option for grades 2-7 that still offers a competitive baseball experience.
The registration deadline for Bay State is June 7th, with tryouts held on June 9th.
Jimmy Fund registration closes on June 14th, with an extra fee applied to late registrants.
For more information and to register, go to our website: www.sudburybaseball.com.

Run by Park & Recreation Staff
Registration Info:
On-line registration opens April 1, 2013. Registration will be open exclusively for returning players and cheerleaders through April 7, 2013, after which registration is open to everyone.
Registration is open to players who will be in Grades 2 through 8 during the 2013-14 school year. Cheerleaders who will be in Grades 1 through 12 can participate. We plan to have a football team at every grade with the exception of a combined Grade 2/3 team.
Registration Link: www.
The Baystate Conference has not yet determined whether we will be allowed to have multiple teams at any grade level for the upcoming season. Be sure to register early to secure your player or cheerleader’s spot for the upcoming season. We will fill available roster spots in the order that participants register, and then if necessary, place participants on a wait list in the order that they registered.
Registration Fees:
For the 2013 season, the registration fee will be $325 for each participant. SYFC will provide all necessary equipment with the exception of mouthpiece, protective cup and cleats. Equipment must be returned at the end of the season.
Payment should be made on-line when registering. At the latest, payment must be made no later than registration night, June 11, 2013. If you would like to request financial assistance, please e-mail Tony Rizzotti at

. All requests will be handled confidentially.
Important Dates:
Registration night at LS will occur on June 11, 2013 at 5:30 p.m. Everyone must attend, regardless of whether they have already registered on-line. We will collect all necessary paper work at this time. Any registrations after June 11, 2013 will be assessed a $50 late fee.
Practice will begin on Monday, August 5, 2013. As in past years, we will practice Monday through Thursday evenings during the month of August. These practices are very important, and we encourage players and cheerleaders to make every effort to attend all of these practices.
There will be one schedule change after Labor Day. Historically, all teams have practiced Tuesdays and Thursdays. This season, some teams will practice Tuesday and Thursday and other teams will practice Monday and Wednesday. We have done this because all teams will practice on the varsity Stadium Field after Labor Day to avoid the need to rent lights for the lower turf fields. As soon as the practice schedule is set, we will let all registered players know.
See you in the Fall for another season of the most exciting experience in youth sports!
